Lynwood Partners Educational Foundation Honored by Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for Commitment to Youth Education.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The Lynwood Partners Educational Foundation received recognition from fourth district Supervisor Janice Hahn at the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors meeting on May 14, 2024.
Supervisor Hahn praised the foundation on X/Twitter for its relentless dedication to supporting the educational aspirations of youth, citing their impactful initiatives such as the 2024 College Pledge Scholarship Program, which this year offers $100,000 in college scholarships.

Since its beginning, the foundation has distributed over $220,000 in scholarships, aiding graduating seniors in their academic pursuits and personal development. Over 200 students applied for this year's scholarships, with recipients set to be honored at the upcoming College Pledge Scholarship Reception on June 13.

"We’re excited that the foundation is being recognized by the Board of Supervisors, our District is committed to supporting the foundation’s mission and we are looking forward to the work they have planned for our future students,” stated LUSD Deputy Superintendent Dr. Shawna Dinkins who was also in attendance.
Executive Director Elsa Chagolla, in a moving address during the recognition ceremony, emphasized the foundation's primary goal of facilitating college access by alleviating financial barriers for students. “…the work we do is to try to create a brighter future for our Lynwood students, and their families and we couldn’t do this without all of your support,” said Chagolla.
Looking ahead, the Foundation is excited to invite the community and alumni to participate in upcoming events.
