Bio

My name is Crystal Grose. I was born in Los Angeles and raised in Lynwood. From Kindergarten to 6th Grade, I attended Janie P. Abbott Elementary School in Lynwood. After graduating from Abbott Elementary in 1989, I attended Whaley Middle School in Compton for my 7th Grade year. After completing 7th Grade in 1990, my family and I relocated to Mississippi where I currently reside. I have worked in the Head Start Program, and attend Delta State University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Food & Nutrition Management, and later attend Framingham State University where I received my Master of Education in Nutrition Education. I have served as a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals. I am also a self-published author and graduate of the Institute of Children’s Literature. Although I no longer reside in Lynwood, it will always be home - California will always be home.
